Critical Access™ Incorporated, headquartered in Maryville, Tennessee, was founded in 2004 by Dr. R. Alan Pinkard & Rob Van Dorselaer. The company was formed around the idea of making it easier for persons to organize, store and access critical data. That simple idea has led to a family of innovative products with one common theme. Critical Access™ for Critical Information! We have listed below a brief history of our product development below.


Portable Health Profile™

The Portable Health Profile™ was developed by medical professionals who understand the clinical need for information, but also understand the busy role that we all have as parents and caregivers. The marriage of these two points of view led to a thorough compilation of critical information without the need to learn complicated software or requiring the use of a medical dictionary.


Portable Pet Profile™ & Portable Equine Profile™

The Portable Pet Profile™ was an idea that came to us from customers who asked us if we could develop a product for their cats and dogs and horses. The Portable Pet Profile™ was developed with veterinary professionals so that we can protect our pets and offer them the same level of care as we do for our other family members.


Portable Travel Profile™

The Portable Health Profile™ came from travelling overseas and facing the challenges of trying to keep up with reservations, passports, etc… and the unfortunate experience of being hospitalized in a foreign country .Travel professionals helped us to merge our health expertise with vital travel records to create a product that is a must for any traveler.
